Hello, I live in Nice it's 20 minutes from Cannes. You have to go in the "Vieux Nice" and take a coffe on the Cour Saleya, taste "la socca" and "la pissaladière" it's a speciality.I love your blog and I'm sure you will love this place. At the end of the day go to "Castel Plage" to have an aperitif! If you need a guide for a day I'm here !! ( my name is Faustine Jacomino facebook)

perhaps Jalouse magazine has a little Cannes guide? I lived there when until I was 6, I miss the strawberry tarts on the beach.
Hey ! I'm french and I'm found of your blog :) It is such a great pleasure for us to have you in France !! You have a lot of good hotels in Cannes. The Carlton is the most famous for example (InterContinental Carlton Cannes, around 180 euros by night, 5*). Or you have Le Cavendish, very nice (130, 4*) and Le Canberra (148, 4*). The most newly built I think is the Villa Garbo (210, 4*). If you want something less expensive, you have the hotel america (90, 3*), or the Ideal Sejour hotel (84, 2*) or even the hotel Alize Cannes (57, 2*). All this hotels have very good reputation, and you can find a lot more looking on the internet ! Have fun and enjoy your stay :D (and bravo to your boyfriend!) A bientôt !
Congrats to your boyfriend -- that is amazing! Hope you have a tremendous time in France! xx prianka
